Proctorial Board

Objectives of Proctorial Board:

Future University has established a comprehensive Proctorial Board system dedicated to overseeing student-related matters concerning discipline. The administration of all acts of indiscipline is delegated to the Proctorial Board, which plays a crucial role in upholding the university's standards and values.

The Proctorial Board is primarily responsible for ensuring that the rules and regulations set forth by Future University are adhered to by all students. This board actively monitors student conduct, addresses disciplinary issues, and fosters a positive learning environment by promoting ethical behavior and accountability among the student body. Through its initiatives, the Proctorial Board aims to maintain a respectful and conducive atmosphere for academic and personal growth within the university.


Some specific responsibilities of the Proctorial Board are as follows:

  • To maintain discipline in the Institute; ensure Institute rules are understood and followed.
  • To keep an eye on the general moral behaviour of the student.
  • To prevent the student from indulging in any political activities on Institute premises.


Functioning of Proctorial Board:

The Proctorial Board at Future University has been established with the vision of maintaining a disciplined campus and fostering a positive academic environment from the outset. The board is dedicated to addressing cases of indiscipline, inappropriate behavior, harassment—whether individual or group threats, and any form of misconduct.

The Chief Proctor at Future University is supported by additional proctors from various departments, along with special invitees who may be called upon to address specific cases related to student indiscipline. All Heads of Departments (HODs) and overall coordinators serve as default members of the Proctorial Board, playing a crucial role in decision-making, particularly when the students involved belong to their respective departments.


The matter related with discipline can be referred to this board as per following procedures:

  • Directly in Emergency situations.
  • Forwarded from Director (Best Practice).
  • Forwarded from all Deans/ HODs/ TPO (as per case merit).


The procedure of disposal of cases received in board is as follows:

  • The meeting of board is called and the complaint issues are well discussed among the members.
  • The person who put the complaint is called in meeting and asked to explain about his grievances.
  • The witnesses are also called in the meeting and members used to ask their views regarding the matter.
  • The witnesses asked to give the undertaking about the issues which they witnessed.
  • The proceedings are recorded and documented with the recommendation of the board.
  • The recommendations are forwarded to Director for his approval.
  • After the approval of Recommendation, the office order gets issued for compliance.
  • Every student along with his/her parents will have to submit undertaking to the institute. (In case parents are called because of any in disciplinary activity.)
  • A copy of office order is also communicated to the parents of involved students
